Scheduling, Hairstyles & Ongoing Care
Grooming schedules and hairstyle lengths must work together to maintain your pet’s comfort, coat health, and overall well-being.

At the start of your appointment, your groomer will recommend either:
+ Grooming schedule based on the hairstyle you choose, or
+ Hairstyle based on the schedule that fits your availability and routine​​​
Recommendations are based on hair type, condition, behavior and maintenance needs. Once a grooming schedule and hairstyle are established, consistency is required. Changes must be planned in advance. ​
​
To avoid matting and discomfort, pets must remain on the grooming schedule that matches their hairstyle and overall haircut length.
Service Requirements
Suitable parking is required for all services. Parking must allow safe access to the home and, when applicable, access to power.

Pre-Booking (Standing Appointments)
Pre-booking means your pet has a standing grooming spot planned in advance, based on their ongoing grooming schedule. Appointments are set up ahead of time to ensure your pet is guaranteed a spot when grooming is needed.

Appointments are planned long-term, which means immediate changes are not always possible. If you decide to change your pet's grooming schedule or hairstyle, at least two (2) months' notice is required so proper adjustments can be made.​
Pre-booking is required for all grooming services, excluding nail trims.

Matting Policy
Matting is not tolerated under any circumstances. Matting causes pain, skin irritation, and increased stress for pets. For this reason, matting and scheduling are directly connected.
+ Light matting is still matting
+ Dematting beyond minor tangles is not performed
+ Matted coats will be shaved as needed for comfort
+ Requested hairstyle or length is never guaranteed if coat condition does not allow
If maintenance requirements are not met, a shorter haircut will be required for your pet’s comfort and safety.

Cancellations
Because mobile grooming requires advance route planning, any appointment removed from the schedule -- including rescheduling -- is considered a cancellation.
+ Appointments may be changed within 24 hours of being booked with no fee.
+ After 24 hours, any cancellation or reschedule will incur a $20 fee.
+ This fee applies regardless of the reason for the change.

Appointments will not be rebooked or rescheduled until all outstanding fees are paid.

Refusal of Service
Service may be refused or modified at any time due to safety, behavior, or animal welfare concerns.

​
Media Release
Clients authorize Lainey’s Grooming to photograph or record their pet(s) for website, social media, and business-related use.
