Prepare for your Mobile Appointment

Please read carefully to find out how to make your Mobile grooming experience go smoothly!

Am I a Candidate for Mobile?

  • An outdoor or garage outlet (20/30 amps) must be accessible in order to help power the trailer or in case of emergency battery power loss. (extension cord provided by groomer)

  • If you live on an incline and there is no road or driveway (must be at least 35 ft/ or two car lengths) available to park on that is level, mobile grooming will not be possible. If there is an area that is level near by and you'd like to walk your pet over that may be an option, consult your groomer prior to appointment.

  • Does your pet have severe anxiety or have difficulties with vehicles? You may want to try House-Call services for an additional charge.

  • Your groomer must be able to access your home if you are not there. This is necessary in terms of scheduling. If you need to reschedule your appointment or your groomer is running late, it's important your pet be taken care of regardless of busy schedules. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, Lainey's Grooming cannot service your pet. (Unless you are always home!)

High Priority To Do's

  • Please have your dog or cat leashed or crated for the walk to the trailer. Have leash/crate readily available before appointment.

  • Please do not schedule services such as cleaning or construction work during your appointment. Services that result in loud distracting noises and block parking.

  • If you'd like to check in on your pet, please text or call your groomer. Do not knock or make noise without prior notice. This may startle and cause injury to your pet or groomer.

  • Please make a parking space available before your appointment, must be either the street in front of your home or in the driveway. If your driveway is shorter than 35 feet, street must be available.

Right Before Your Appointment

  • Please give your dog an opportunity to use the bathroom beforehand.

  • If your pet has a tendency to run and hide, (especially cats) please confine them to a room or crate them before your groomer arrives.

  • If you'd like to bathe your pet yourself, please do not bathe them if they are matted. Consult your groomer prior to bathing before appointment.

  • If you have any specifications having to do with grooming style please provide them at the start of your appointment. If no instructions are given, the groomer will do the same cut as the previous appointment.

Lainey's Grooming offers Key on File Services if you prefer to schedule when no one's home. â€‹

  • Simply provide door code(font, back, garage, etc.), hidden key location, lock box, etc. prior to appointment.

  • Because of the risk of physical key loss, Lainey’s Grooming cannot be responsible for holding on to actual keys to your home. Door codes, hidden keys and lock boxes only. For fingerprint key access, please contact prior to appointment.

I’d Like to Go Above and Beyond..

  • If you have a garden hose that reaches the street or driveway and would like to offer your water to groom your pet please do so! Having an attached hose increases water pressure for your pet and makes for a quicker and more efficient groom.

  • Same goes for an extension cord, if you have a 10 gauge cord thats long enough, having it plugged in and ready will save time and make sure your pet has adequate power for their groom.

  • Pre-booking is now a necessity for grooming schedules 6 weeks or less, if you'd like to set up multiple appointments so that you always have a spot saved on the grooming schedule make sure to contact your groomer ASAP! You'll be notified after each appointment and can reschedule if necessary.
